E-mailing Pictures

Most e-mail programs allow you to attach a file to your e-mail. Beloware instructions for doing this in various e-mail programs. Just be sureto scan the picture at no more than 100 dpi and save it in the *.gif or*.jpg format. These two formats will result in relatively small images.(Most versions of iPhoto Plus do not allow you to save in *.gif formatso use Picture Publisher when scanning for e-mail).

The person you send an image file to must have a program capable ofreading the file format you saved the picture in. If they do not have aprogram that can read *.gif or *.jpg, they can download Paint Shop Profrom: http://www.jasc.com.

Juno

Juno does not allow attachment of files to e-mail.

America Online

1. Compose your e-mail as normal, then click the Attach File icon. Browseyour hard drive to the location where you saved the image file and clickon it.

2. Send your e-mail. The attached file will automatically be sent alongwith the e-mail.

Eudora

1. Compose your mail as normal.

2. If you know the filename and the path to thefile’s location on your hard drive, you can type it in in the e-mail headerwhere it says "Attached:".

3. If you are unsure of the filename and/or path,click the Attach Icon at the top of your screen (It looks like a paperclip).

Netscape Navigator3.0

1. Start Netscape and open the Window Menu. Clickon Netscape Mail.

2. After Netscapes e-mail module starts up, clickthe To:Mail icon at the top. Compose your e-mail as usual.

3. Click the attach icon above the mail compositionwindow.

4. Click the Attach File button.

5. Navigate to the location on your hard diskwhere the file was saved and double click the file. If you know the filenameand path to it, you can just type it in and click the Open button.

6. Once the file is atatched, when you send youre-mail, the file will go with it.
