The Paragon 600 II SP offers 24-bit true-color scans, capable of capturingover 16.7 million different colors in a single-pass.

Photographs, logos, illustrations or text can be scanned at resolutionsfrom 72 to 4800 dots-per-inch (dpi). The true optical resolution of 300x 600 dpi is electronically enhanced in hardware to 600 x 600 dpi and throughsoftware to 4800 dpi.

One Pass Scanning

Mustek’s exclusive One-Pass scanning technology is a unique combinationof a true-color charged-coupled-device (CCD), hardware, software and firmware.The innovative design of the Paragon 600 II SP makes it up to 6 times fasterthan three-pass scanners and up to 2 times faster than competing single-passscanners.

Image-editing software provides image enhancement tools that will lighten,darken, sharpen, blur, airbrush, rotate, and blend. The full versions ofMicrografx’s award-winning Picture Publisher 5.0 and 6.0 are included alongwith Color It! for Mac. Image editing is easy with the included nativemode version for Windows 3.1, Windows 95 and Mac systems.

Text Recognition SoftwareIncluded

Xerox TextBridge Classic OCR for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 are included.This software allows the user to scan and recognize text. Text can be scannedfrom documents directly into word processing software. Scanned text canbe edited without retyping. Native mode versions are included for Windows3.1, Windows 95 and Macintosh platforms.

TWAIN Compliant

TWAIN is an industry standard that allows scanning directly into supportedapplications. Through TWAIN, the Paragon 600 II SP can scan directly intomany programs, providing flexibility and value.

Internet File SaveFormats

The included image-editing software allows the Paragon 600 II SP tosave in JPEG and GIF file formats. The GIF file format allows transparentareas and interlaced downloading.
