The Paragon 800 SP offers 30-bit true-color scans, capable of capturingover one billion different colors in a single-pass. While there are no30-bit save file formats, the extra information is useful for capturingdetail hidden in shadowed or highlighted areas.

Photographs, logos, illustrations or text can be scanned at resolutionsfrom 72 to 6400 dots-per-inch (dpi). The true optical resolution of 400x 800 dpi is electronically enhanced in hardware to 800 x 800 dpi and throughsoftware to 6400 dpi.

Text Recognition SoftwareIncluded

Xerox TextBridge Classic OCR for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 are included.This software allows the user to scan and recognize text. Text can be scannedfrom documents directly into word processing software. Scanned text canbe edited without retyping. Native mode versions are included for Windows3.1, Windows 95 and Macintosh platforms.

TWAIN Compliant

TWAIN is an industry standard that allows scanning directly into supportedapplications. Through TWAIN, the Paragon 800 SP can scan directly intomany programs, providing flexibility and value.

Internet File SaveFormats
