Setting the Image Size
Use the Crop Frame in the Preview Window to outlinethe image area that you wish to scan. Click one of the sides or cornersof the Crop Frame and drag it out or in to the desired length and width.To move the entire Crop Frame, position the mouse cursor inside it anddrag with the left mouse button. If you wish to move the Crop Frame withprecision, use the Zoom tool to magnify the image. Only the area inside the Crop Frame will be includedin the resulting scanned image when you click Scan. The size informationat the bottom of the dialog box is automatically updated when the CropFrame is resized. The Zoom tool doubles the magnification of theimage area. In magnified view, you can then drag the Crop Frame to theexact area you want to scan. To use the Zoom tool: 1.Click the Zoom tool icon to select it. 2.Move the cursor inside the Preview Window andclick the image part you want to magnify. The Zoom tool works as a toggleswitch. Clicking the mouse again will revert the image to its normal size. 3.Deselect the Zoom tool. 4.Drag the Crop Frame using the left mouse buttonto the image area you wish the scanner to capture. 5.If the image area you want does not show inthe Zoom-In Window, move the cursor to the edges or the corners of thePreview Window. The cursor changes to a pointing index finger. Press andhold the mouse button to scroll the image. |
