Scanning The Image

To Scan an image, the steps are:

1. Acquire the scanner from the file menu of your"Host Application." (iPhoto Plus, Picture Publisher and TextBridge Classic are "Host Applications" as well as any other TwainCompliant software. Read the document, Understanding Twain, in the UnderstandingScanners section for more information.)

2. Place the document you wish to scan face downon the scan window glass.

3. Click the Prescan button. The scanner makesa quick low-resolution scan of the entire original and displays the imagein the Preview window.

4. Set the desired image size by dragging theCrop Frame over the image area you wish to capture in your final scan.Click one of the sides or corners of the Crop Frame and drag it out orin to the desired length and width.

5. Select the desired Scan Mode.

6. Select the desired Resolution.

7. Click the Scan button. The scanner scans theimage and displays it in the main screen of your host program. The F/BScanner dialog box (Twain driver) remains open allowing you to continuescanning additional images.

8. Click the Cancel button when you are finishedscanning. This closes the F/B Scanner dialog box (Twain driver) and thescreen returns to your host program.
